About the Aboriginal Creative Residency at Boyd Studios

Residencies are a part of Council’s creative funding program. A residency in a City of Melbourne Creative Spaces studio provides artists with a valuable opportunity to spend time researching, experimenting, developing and creating new work.

The aim of the Aboriginal Creative Residency is to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists and small creative businesses to advance their practice through the provision of studio space, facilities and a grant.

The residency is for creative development and no public outcome is required.

For more information on how to apply and the assessment criteria, please refer to the residency guidelines.

ATTACHMENTS AND SUPPORT DOCUMENTS

You may need to upload/submit attachments to support your application. This is very simple, but requires you to have the documents saved on your computer, or on a storage device.

You need to allow enough time for each file to upload before trying to attach another file. Files can be up to 25MB each; however, we do recommend trying to keep files to a maximum of 5MB – the larger the file, the longer the upload time.
