Creative Spaces Aboriginal Creative Studio Space 2025

Operating since 2008, Creative Spaces is a City of Melbourne program providing affordable work and exhibition space and soft infrastructure via the Creative Spaces website. Currently supporting more than 150 artists and creative organisations, the program has a strong reputation and is seen as a leader in creative space provision.

Now, Creative Spaces is pleased to offer a studio space at Boyd Studios for 12 months, free of charge, to the successful applicant.

The aim of the Aboriginal Creative Studio Space 2025 is to support Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander artists to advance their practice through the provision of a studio space to create and grow.  

Applicants are advised to read the guidelines thoroughly before proceeding with an application.

This is an application for a Creative Spaces Licence. Please ensure that you fill out all fields for your application to be considered.

In submitting my application, I agree to the following:

• I have read and understood the Aboriginal Creative Studio Space 2025 guidelines and my proposal meets the application requirements, conditions and eligibility.
• I am an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander artist.
• Only one application may be submitted.
• My application may not be accepted if it is not lodged by the stated close date through SmartyGrants (or by other means in agreement with program staff) or does not have all the required materials.
• I understand that this opportunity is for July 2025 - July 2026
