Test Sites Workshop Application Process

Thank you for your interest in the Test Sites Workshops delivered in collaboration with Testing Grounds.

You will need to have at least a rudimentary project idea that you wish to explore, test and trial at Testing Grounds over the course of the workshop.

The workshops are limited in numbers so if you are not successful this time you can reapply.

If successful you will receive a $300 honorarium towards costs associated with attending the workshop.

We will open each workshop to applications on the day the previous workshop runs. 

The dates for workshops in the first half of 2019 are below, please note format below for attendance requirements:

  • 18 to 22 February (applications are currently open, they close 18 Jan 2019 - you will be notified by the end of Jan if you are successful)
  • 15-19 April (opens to applications 12 February)
  • 10-14 June (opens to applications 15 April)

Dates for the second half of 2019 will be listed in June 2019.

Each workshop takes the following format

  • Monday - 6 hour session learning about public realm and spatial concerns
  • Monday afternoon to Friday - use of the Testing Grounds site to test material and practical considerations regarding your idea
  • Friday, after work hours, a 4 hour session with all the workshop attendees to explore success and failure and critique the experiences.
