Food Van - Expression of Interest - 2026

Before completing this Expression of Interest (EOI) application form, you should have read the program guidelines: Food vans | City of Melbourne.

Incomplete applications and/or applications received after the closing date will not be considered.

This section of the application form is designed to help you, and us, understand if you are eligible to operate as part of the Food Van program. It is important that you complete these questions before any others to ensure you do not waste your time applying if you are not eligible.

If you do contact us throughout the application process, please also quote the application number below.

Before proceeding, please confirm the following:

• You have read and understood the food van program guidelines 
• You have a certificate of registration for your food van with Food Trader, or are in the process of obtaining it
• You hold current public liability insurance cover of $20 million.
• Your food van fits within a standard vehicle parking bay when in operation (including generator), and trades from the passenger (left hand) side of the vehicle.
• You can provide at least one reference or letter of support for your business from another council or event organiser
