COMPLETING YOUR APPLICATION

Navigating the Form

You can complete the application form in any order.

  • Use the Navigation Panel on the right-hand side of the screen to move between sections.
  • Alternatively, use the Next Page and Previous Page buttons at the top or bottom of each page.
  • Remember to save your progress regularly.

Save you Draft Application

SmartyGrants does not automatically save your work.

To save your application:

  1. Click the Save button at the top or bottom of the page.
  2. If you need to leave the application, save your progress and log out.
  3. When you return, select My Submissions to access and continue your draft application.

Submitting Your Application

Before submitting:

  1. Select Review and Submit in the Navigation Panel.
  2. Review all responses and ensure required attachments have been uploaded.
  3. Submit your application.

Please note:

  • Once submitted, you will not be able to edit your application or upload additional documents.
  • You will receive a confirmation email with a copy of your submitted application.
  • If you do not receive a confirmation email, your submission may not have been successfully received. Please contact the Zero Carbon Buildings team if you are unsure.

Uploading Supporting Documents

Supporting documents are required as part of your application.

Please ensure:

  • Documents are saved on your device before uploading.
  • Each file is no larger than 25 MB.
  • Where possible, files are kept below 5 MB to improve upload times.
  • You allow each file to finish uploading before attaching another.

The personal information collected on this application form is being collected by City of Melbourne (via SmartyGrants) for the purpose of assisting with the assessment of your application for funding through City of Melbourne’s Retrofit Melbourne Financial Incentive Scheme. In addition, City of Melbourne staff will use the personal information provided to contact you about your application, including notification of outcome.

The information will be disclosed internally to City of Melbourne staff and securely stored in SmartyGrants and City of Melbourne computer systems. In addition, information that you provide may be de-identified and aggregated by City of Melbourne, to be disclosed to external academic researchers and research consultants for the purpose of conducting research, synthesis and analysis relating to retrofit activity and incentive programs. No other information will be disclosed to any external party without your consent, unless required or authorised by law.

By submitting an application you consent to City of Melbourne publishing information about the successful application (project name, applicant, funding amount and project summary) on its website www.melbourne.vic.gov.au. City of Melbourne will notify you prior to information being published. This information may also be used for promoting City of Melbourne’s Retrofit Melbourne Financial Incentive Scheme more generally through case studies and articles on City of Melbourne’s website and social media accounts.
